Local wildlife and macro photographer, Bryce McQuillan, is our guest speaker on Wednesday night. Whether you like bugs or not, I’m sure there’ll be something for everyone as he’ll cover the basics of macro photography as well. We’ll take registrations of interest after the meeting for a bug walk with Bryce a few nights later.
On Wednesday night we’ll also be announcing the winner of the Orpington Camera Club (UK) vs Rotorua Camera Club interclub competition.
As Anne mentioned in her recent message, now is the time to get your portrait (or open) entries in via the website. You have until midnight Thursday 3 March. Once you’ve locked them in, you’ll be able to start thinking about your ‘hands’ entries for April.
Committee are in the process of organising a calendar of field trips and workshops for the year so keep a regular watch on the website www.rotoruacamera.co.nz, or members-only facebook page, for updates.
The Club Handbook is now on the website. It’s a living beast and still requires some minor tweaking, but the basics are there. It provides a wealth of information for new and current members.
Don’t forget subs are due and can be paid online or at a Westpac bank. Payment details are on the website.
See you next week,
