Saturday Workshops with Wieland
April 30th, 2010 · Events & Workshops
Hi all,
The workshop seems to be really appreciated. Thank you for all your kind comments.
Last Saturday was #2 out of our series of six workshops about how to use your camera better, with more confidence, to MAKE better pictures (as opposed to TAKING pictures).
#3 will be THIS Saturday, 1st May at 4 p.m. at Sulphur Point
(go past the Event Centre and turn left towards the boat ramp)
There are many interesting subjects: people, cars, boats, birds, shore things and maybe we can work a little towards LANDSCAPE, the subject for club meet on Wednesday.
#4 Saturday, 8 May, 3 p.m., Studio 1, proposed lecture subject: LENSES (wide, tele, primes, zooms, macros, fish eyes, etc).
Please bring $5 per person to contribute towards the rent.
Your and my questions, comments, ideas, photos and – if time allows – a slide show / podcast of a professional photographer.
#5 Saturday, 22 May, time and place of outing still to be confirmed.
#6 Saturday, 29 May, 3 p.m., Studio 1, proposed lecture subject: BACK LIGHT (use of back light indoors and outdoors to create more dramatic images).
Please bring $5 per person to contribute towards the rent.
Your and my questions, comments, ideas, photos and – if time allows – a slide show / podcast of a professional photographer.
See you all next time.
Keep using your camera!
-Wieland

Early start at Tarawera
April 18th, 2010 · Events & Workshops
12 very enthusiastic members arrived at Lake Tarawera soon after six this morning, to capture the sunrise. The cloudless sky meant that it was all over pretty quickly, but there were some great shots and a chance to ask questions and learn a little. Coffee finished a very successful field trip.

Thanks Betty for the images.
