Your committee is planning to hold an exhibition at the Rotorua Arts Village to celebrate the 75th Jubilee; to give Members an opportunity to exhibit their work; to raise our profile with the public to grow membership. There will be 4 distinct sections at the exhibition:
- A brief history of the Society to celebrate 75 years
- A Novice section
- An Intermediate section
- An Advanced section
- A cell phone photography section
This advance notice is to give you all an opportunity to begin setting aside images that you might like to submit. The selection of images will be curated by our Patron – Tracey Scott. The following are the key criteria dates for submission of your images:
- You can submit up to 4 digital images and 1 cell phone image each
- Up to 2 of the above digital images and I cell phone image may be selected.
- The Society will print the images but you will be required to reimburse that cost. The Society pays for venue hire, mounting of images & all other costs.
- There are no date criteria for when the images need to be taken.
- It will be an Open subject for all images.
- Images will need to be not less than 300dpi and 3600 pixels on the longest edge.
The following are the key dates to keep in mind:
- Entry submission of digital images over February and March 2025.

Other points to consider:
- Each image will be labelled & a catalogue will be produced showing photographers’ name, image title and sale price (if for sale). The Arts Village will take 25% of the proceeds as a commission on any sales.
- There will be an opening (Friday the 11th July) where members can provide a list of people they would like to invite, to allow the committee to send out an official invitation.
Members will be reminded and updated at monthly meetings as we progress towards the August next year.
